The coming of summer means Highland Games season is in full swing. We are happy to announce that the Plateau SC Dancers will be performing at the Pacific Northwest Scottish Highland Games and Clan Gathering in Enumclaw this year. The games run from Friday evening, July 26 through Sunday, July 28 at the Enumclaw Expo Center. You can visit www.sshga.org for more information.

We will be at the indoor stage from 4:00-4:45 Saturday and Sunday demonstrating dances and inviting audience members to join us in a few easy ones. Come enjoy the Games and join us for some dancing fun!

Monday, July 22 will be our last regular class for the season. We will be on summer break until late September or October. The exact date is yet to be decided. Watch this space for an update as we get into fall. We welcome anyone (except small children) interested in having fun learning some dances and getting active!

Well, it finally happened. Snow and near freezing temperatures are being forecast for Monday evening. We don’t want to take a chance on driving conditions so are cancelling class. Also, Jim, Pat and Caitlin all have THE COLD! So, we will see you the following Monday, March 4 at 7:00. Kilts and dresses will be in order (if you wish) as it’s the first Monday of the month. We have some new, interesting dances we’re looking at. Think spring!

We hope everyone had a good holiday season and you’re ready to meet the new year. Let’s dance off all those pies and cookies!

We will resume our Monday night dance classes on January 8 at 7 pm at the Danish Hall, 1708 Porter St. Enumclaw. It looks like the weather will cooperate and we won’t have snow–yet. We’re keeping a close watch on the weather in the coming weeks. We will post a notice if we need to cancel class.

**If you think you might have been exposed to COVID, RSV, flu, etc. or have symptoms, please wait until a later date to attend. Let’s help protect each other.

Monday the 8th will be the first class of the month so wear your kilt or a skirt if you wish. Let’s dress it up a bit!

We are planning on attending the Tacoma Scots Robert Burns supper happening on Saturday February 3. This event is always a fun evening. The location is the Tacoma Sportsman Club at 16409 Canyon Rd. E. Puyallup and it runs from 5 to 10 pm. The price is $60 per person for the banquet and evening’s entertainment. Tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com. For more information visit www.tacomascots.org. The evening includes the Address to the Haggis, a full dinner, pipe band performances, a silent auction and dance music.

We look forward to dancing with you in the coming year!
