Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pacific Northwest Highland Games in Enumclaw in July are canceled for 2020. Likewise, the Tacoma Highland Games in June are also canceled. Obviously we won’t be performing this year, so here’s hoping for a better 2021!

We’re not sure about our own schedule for dance classes. At this point, they are still canceled through at least May 4. More information to come as we assess the situation. We hope to resume social dancing on Monday nights as soon as possible.

Stay safe, stay in shape, watch some Scottish Dancing videos, and we’ll hopefully see you soon.

Dear Dancers,

In light of coronavirus issues, particularly the closure of events here in Washington State and the need to practice social distancing, we do not feel that we should continue our dance classes at the present time. We will suspend classes through the remainder of March and then reevaluate the situation come April. It’s sad to have to do this but so many of our dancers are of a “certain age” and many of us do have underlying health issues. Also, most drive in from other areas which means more unpredictability.

So, keep your legs and feet in good shape, watch the videos of the current dances, (we may e-mail out directions for some no-contact dances) and keep out of the way of the virus if at all possible! Stay in touch with each other by text or e-mail and we’ll hopefully be able to pick things up in a few weeks.

Slainte,

Pat & Jim
